Meet Gretchen Raymer

Hi, I’m Gretchen She/Her

Couples specialist that helps you cut through the fights about dishes, parenting arguments, tension and resentment…to see what’s really at the root.

LGBTQ+ affirming

Fully convinced I can sing. Only in my car. No witnesses

Could absolutely live on chips and taco dip

My calm place is in a kayak, away from everyone

Will say I can start a bonfire. Will struggle to prove it…

I “therapize” my kids. They love that for them

Start a lot of projects. Finishing… negotiable

Way too good at wasting time on phone games

Things have been off lately, right?

You’re talking, but it’s not really landing. Same fights, new day. Or you’ve both just stopped bringing things up because… honestly, what’s the point if it ends the same way?

At some point you start thinking,
are we good… or just really good at avoiding stuff?

That’s usually when people come in.

We sit down and just talk like normal people. Not therapy robots. Not perfect words. Just real.

There’s almost always a moment where something clicks and one of you laughs, and the other’s like, “okay… rude, but also true.”

That’s where things start to shift.

Not overnight. But enough to stop feeling like you’re stuck in the same argument on repeat.

You don’t need a plan before you show up.

Most couples don’t.

You can come in annoyed, quiet, talking over each other a little. It’s fine. I’ve seen it all.

I’m not here to pick sides. I’m here to help you actually hear each other again without it turning into another round of the same fight.

I’ll sit in the awkward parts. I’ll say the thing that’s being avoided. In a normal way, not a scary way.

Because it’s usually not just “communication.”

It’s the stuff underneath that never gets said out loud.

That’s what we work on.

There’s room to be honest, a little sarcastic, maybe even laugh at messy all of this is.

And once the real stuff starts coming out…you don’t have to keep having the same fight over and over again.
