FAQ

Answers to some frequently asked questions.

  • We do not have in-person sessions. Instead, we’ll work together virtually or by phone anywhere in North Dakota and Minnesota.

  • We work with ages 18 and up, couples struggling with sexual intimacy as well as infidelity. We also work with entrepreneurs and burnout, trauma, and identity issues for women.

We’re happy to work with you regardless of your gender or sexual orientation. Members of the LGBTQIA community are welcome!

If we feel your issues are outside our scope, we’ll do our best to refer you to a therapist we know and trust.

  • Consultations are perfect for determining if we will be a good fit! Sometimes it may seem like you don’t fit within our scope, but after talking about it, you do!

This will be discussed and clarified during your free 15-minute consultation. If we’re not a good fit to work together, we’ll kindly refer you to another kick-ass therapist that we trust.

  • If you are a new client, you can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. You may also contact the designated therapist using their email or phone number on our “Contact” page.

If you are a current client, you can login to your secure portal to schedule a session… or contact us via email or phone.

  • Standard sessions for individuals and couples are 50 minutes (but can be altered to 25 minutes).

Intensives are available, ranging from 2 to 5 hours, as well as retreats and messaging therapy. I know…lots of options! See further information on our “Investment” page.

  • If you late cancel (less than 24 hours notice) or no show to any session, there is a $75.00 fee.

  • We are a cash pay only practice and do not accept insurance at this time. We do offer you a Superbill each month to send to your insurance for possible Out of Network Reimbursement.

See our “Investment” page for further info on prices and options to pay for therapy.

  • Your therapist will go over this with you, too, but here’s an overview:

We use a HIPAA-secure system that is similar to FaceTime or Skype. It’s called Simple Practice (for Apple and Android users).

To use it on a smartphone or iPad, you’ll need to download an app (just once). If using a laptop or computer, no download is needed.

Before each session, you are emailed a link and then… BAM! Click, and you’re ready to therapize your life. For phone sessions, you will need… a phone.

  • We strongly encourage you to bring a list (or make a mental list) of the important or big subjects you want to dig into, share, or get feedback on.

This can be anything that happens between sessions, stuff that has popped up from your past, things that weigh on you or you think about often, experiences or thoughts that have come up from homework, or things you have been working on in sessions.

We put as much effort into your work as you do and encourage you to come prepared and reflect!
